"A dark nebula is a interstellar cloud that is so dense that it obscures the light from objects behind it."
The B169-B171, also called The Black Fish, is a dark nebula complex in the constellation Cepheus. The nebula is surrounded by the red glow of Sh2-134, a diffuse emission nebula. This large red emission nebula is nearly 3000 light years distant and spans an area more that 140 light years across.
